The judge, who cannot be identified, said his former lover Roselane Driza stole two videos showing him having sex with other women and threatened to send them to the Lord Chancellor when he asked her to move out.

Driza, a Brazilian, is facing a charge of theft of the two videos and one of blackmail against the judge and a female colleague who introduced them.

The judge, who worked at the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal, said Driza moved into his flat without permission. He asked her to move outbut a few days later she came back.

The judge said that when he first asked Driza to leave she refused and threatened to go to the Lord Chancellor, claiming he and his colleague employed her illegally as a cleaner. She alsosaid a tabloid would pay £20,000 for herstory.

Asked by David Markham QC how the threats made him feel, the judge said: 'Absolutely petrified.'The judge and his colleague went on holiday to Canada, the court heard. When they returned, Driza was still there and told them about sexscenes she had found on the videos.

The judge said it was at this point he realised he had made a 'stupid mistake'. Driza was arrested at his flat on October 25, 2005. The case continues.
