LONDON, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- A landmark study shows successful treatment of men with erectile dysfunction also improves women's sexual function and satisfaction.

In what's called the first prospective, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-institutional treatment study with multi-dimensional psychometrically valid outcomes, scientists concluded an effective ED treatment also significantly improved sexual function and sexual satisfaction in untreated women partners.

The study, conducted by Drs. William Fisher and Irwin Goldstein of the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada, is detailed in the November issue of The Journal of Sexual Medicine.
