2. Y2J says that song "Lager & Ale" is how you start a rock & roll show & says that's what we do here. He says since lots of you are probably hearing Kim Mitchell for the first time on his show, he explains that Canada's own Kim Mitchell's 1 of those guys from Canada who's considered a Rock God. He also says in Canada, everyoneknows & loves him & says every summer he comes thru town & plays at fairs & party socials for a "lake town" that has a yearly party week & says Mitchell's theultimate Canadian party guy. Y2J says Mitchell was the first that popularized "The Skullet" & describes a Skullet as when you have no hair on the top of your head & super long hair in the back. He says Mitchell would wear an OPP hat & mention that it don't mean "Other Peoples P*****s", but it stands for Ontario Police Patrol. So Y2J says Mitchell would wear the OPP hat, rock the skullet & ripped ass & mentions when you heard his guitar work on that song, he'd show great singing, harmony &riffs. He says Mitchell probably had almost 15-20 hits in Canada & says that song "Lager & Ale" is from the album "Akimbo Alogo". He then says the reason why hesays Mitchell's Canada's own, is that today [10/23] is a salute to Canada. Y2J says all of Canada's rock acts which some that you may've never heard of, is becauseCanada's 1 of those countries like UK, Japan or anywhere that has lots of home grown bands that you've never heard of, are huge Gods in their own country & completely unknown in the rest of the world. He says it's like himself, the host of the Rock Of Jericho & also says he's a true blue Canadian. Y2J continues to say thathe snuck over the boarder in the back trunk of a Pinto in 1987 & as he says, the "so called" immigration officials have never tracked him down to kick him out. He sayshe'll start playing some Kim Mitchell for now on & says if you've never heard of Kim, you probably never heard of is Harem Scarem. He says the band's well known forhaving guitarist Pete Lesperance who in the early 90's, Lesperance was a true rock guitar hero worldwide. Y2J then says that Harem Scarem's 1 of those bands that's huge in the Philippines & says when their new record comes out in the Philippines, the riots in the street will be like Manowar in Belgium. Y2J says he wants to spreadthe word & be the Pied Piper of Canadian Metal & says to let all of you uninformed, American fine people & let them know what it is in Canada that makes people socrazy. He asks if it's the beer, the hockey & admits it's some of that. He then asks if it's the hot chicks & says absolutely. But then says more importantly, it's the Rock & Roll & says with a name like Harem Scarem, he says you better have a kick ass guitar player & you better have some great songs & starts to play 1 of their songs on as he says, the "Canadian Rock Of Jericho".

4. Y2J says Honeymoon Suite's another band from Canada & says even though he's not sure on how big they were in the USA, but in Canada they were very popular. Hesays they probably had 10 hits with guitarist Derry Grehan who had a cool Pepsi commercial where he's standing in a Pepsi warehouse & everyone was very thirsty &wanted something to drink, but no one brought a bottle opener. So Y2J first joked & says Derry whipped out his [paused & said C***] but after that he seriously said Derry whipped out his guitar & played so fast & awesome that all of the Pepsi bottle caps popped off & everyone drank their cola. Y2J says that people at home aresaying "What were you Canadians up to way up there in the crazy great white north" & says that what it was by listening to great guitar players & drinking Pepsi, beer,Crown Royal, whiskey, vodka & whatever else there was. He says he knows that he's painting a picture that all Canadians do is drink & says that's all they do, so just deal with it & help him to deal with it. He says Killer Dwarfs were famous for 2 things. The first is the video "Keep The Spirit Alive" where singer Russ Dwarf & says that'snot his real name [NOTE FROM JEFF: His real name's Russ Graham], was in a box when the band went across the country on tour & left Russ behind, so they stuck him in a box, punched air holes in it & sent him across the country. He says that got a lot of airplay for them & they became a fun metal band & says if you're in a bandcalled Killer Dwarfs, you've got to be fun & says since he's in a band called Fozzy & says what the F*** does he know. He says Russ Dwarf was the singer & says hewas crazy because he rode a tricycle on stage, did lots of front rolls, flips, kicks, bops & just went nuts on stage. He also says in 1992 when Skid Row was touring withPantera worldwide as an opening act but when they came to Canada, for some reason Pantera couldn't do it & they got the Killer Dwarfs open for Skid Row. He says since he's a big Killer Dwarfs fan, he was more excited that the Killer Dwarfs were opening for Skid Row then Pantera. However he didn't know that 13 years later,Pantera would be 1 of the greatest Hall Of Fame metal bands of all time & Killer Dwarfs would be a great band that put out some great songs in the 80's.

6. Y2J says even though the riff's kinda ripped off from AC/DC's "Put The Finger On You", "Wild In The Streets" is still a fun song. He says Welcome to Canada & saysthis is Canada's Rock show today & says people would tell him that since he's from Canada that he's got a little bit of an accent & admits that he does. But then says when you go further to the East side of Canada, he says you'd get some real Canada redneck accents. He then talks in the Canadian Redneck accent by saying "Haveyou been to a F*****g party & everyone's F*****g loaded but you never got loaded so you just drank so F*****g beer & you shotgun 1 & go 'Wooooo'? F*** man, that'sF*****g crazy. That's partying all the time eh?". Y2J says that's all Canadians do & that's what we sound like & sayswe are all bunch of idiots living in Eskimos, thencorrects himself & says we live with Eskimos in Igloos & then says we actually do live in Eskimos by opening up their boob shoot & pop on in. He then talks about Anvilwith Lips [NOTE FROM JEFF, Lips' real name is Steve Kudlow] on vocals & guitar & says he played some Anvil a couple of weeks ago when he did the Instrumentalshow called "March Of The Crabs" & says this is called "The Jackhammer". He says Anvil's a very sexually, oriented band & says if you saw them, you'd understand & says if they didn't write about sex, they sure as hell didn't have any. He then imitates Lips meeting girls by saying "Hi, what's your name? Oh my name's Theresa, what's your name? Lips" & Y2J says that won't help you pick up any nook-nook if you know what he's saying. Y2J says another 1 of his favorite Canadian bands is JeffWaters in Annihilator & Y2J says if you asked him what was Canada's calling card for musical sound, he'd say more of a pop style like Harem Scarem, Kim Mitchell,Honeymoon Suite, etc. He also says there're a few thrashers in there like Anvil & Annihilator being those 2 bands as well as Voivod & Y2J says you'll hear some Voivodlater on. He thinks that Annihilator's biggest problem, is the lineup changes that they've been doing by suffering year in & year out. He says the song "Road To Ruin" is from their second album by their second lead singer & also says they've had 7 lead singers by now, but it's still Jeff Waters' band, he calls the shots & says if you don'tlike it, then says in the Canadian Redneck accent:"Go back to the States eh? We don't need you over here in Canada, we got our own rock & roll band".

8. Y2J says he loves that heavy track [on "Road To Ruin"] & loves the drums are locked with the rhythms. Y2J says he grew up in Winnipeg, Canada in the Praries in the cold section of the great white north, because during Winter it's minus 30-minus 40 [degrees] there for 2-3 months straight. He says he's never cold as a result & says when you're growing up as a kid, you don't have money as is & says in the 80's, lots of bands toured. He says bands toured Winnipeg very often & says what heused to do when he didn't have a lot of money to buy a ticket to a second level show that you didn't care that much about, there was a guy named "Jan" who was as he said, was a real fat dude & says if he's listening, he [Jan] was big boned. Y2J says Jan would collect a dollar from every kid & says there were 15 kids who all pitched ina dollar & Jan would buy a ticket for the show. He then said Jan would go inside the Winnipeg Arena, walk around the back to a back door that everyone knew where itwas. He says there was this poor old security guy sitting there & says that Jan would push him out of the way, kick open the back door & let all the kids would runinside up the blackness of the steps & come thru a curtain & be at the top of the arena & you'd be in the show for free. He says you'd watch the shows, have a good time, rip the bands off & scare an old security guy & just be a kid. Y2J said 1 of the shows that they did that for, was Triumph & Kick Axe & says Triumph washeadlining & Kick Axe was opening. He also says he didn't care about Triumph, but had to see Kick Axe because they were his band. Y2J says Kick Axe's fromRegina, Saskatchewan, Canada, but spent lots of time in Winnipeg & says they're almost like from Winnipeg. He says since they're from Winnipeg, he has to go see them, but also says he's not gonna pay $30 to see Triumph as well. Y2J says Triumph's 1 of those bands that he always kinda liked & though Rik Emmett was amazing, great singer & guitar player, but says the rest of the band looked nerdy. He says drummer Gil Moore who sang also & says the drummer who's also the singeris never cool as if the guy had the mikestand or the rhythm guitar. Y2J says the bass player had a huge moustache & a real long frizzy afro long hair like Blue Lou [Marini] from The Blues Brothers & says he always wore the dumbest shirts like a white Tshirt that said Tokyo written in black. He says he'd call the bass player "Tokyo" & says he don't know his real name is & says it's Mike something-or-another [NOTE FROMJEFF: His name's Mike Levine]. Regardless, he asks his "Rock OfJericho Scribes" should email him the bass players name at messagesforchris@aol.com .He says Triumph had some great songs & Kick Axe who he says he's talkedabout before, he feels that any band that has a 5 part harmony in their band, should've been bigger then they were before. Y2J says Kick Axe just released the reunion album without vocalist George Criston, so it wasn't quite the same.

10. Y2J says that vocalist Gil Moore's kinda nerdy, he can sing, but says guitarist Rik Emmett really made that band whip ass. He says he spenta lot of time on the Canadian version of the Rock Of Jericho show by having as he says his slave Manny in the XM studio dungeons finding all of these bands. He says there were lots of bands that he wanted to play, weren't in the system, but says he'll change that. He then says he's sending his own version of Kim Mitchell's "Akimbo Alogo" so they can put it in the system, because he says Mitchell needs to be in XM Radio Heaven, XM Radio Files & then says The X-Files. He says Voivod & Rush have beenaround the longest out of all the other Canadian metal bands. He then says Rush's from the early 70's & Voivod's from the early 80's & says both are still going today.Y2J says Voivod's guitarist Dennis "Piggy" D'Amour just died which is a tough lost for the band, for Canadian rock fans & rock fans worldwide. He says Piggy had anincredible tone & doesn't feel that anyone will replace him & says bassist Jason Newsted who toured Ozzfest a couple of years ago, is a huge fan & Y2J wants to see them continue to roll. He says in regards to Rush, there's nothing more you can say about them & says they're the greatest Canadian band of all time & says that'sbecause they're being played by the greatest DJ of all time. He says he hoped you enjoyed the Canadian Rock Of Jericho show & says next week in a Canadian Redneckaccent: "Oh it's gonna be scary kids, will play some scary songs for you".
